I haven't done this, so don't know of websites for you. But how sweet of you! You didn't specify the color of the roses....red, yellow, pink, etc....if it's for love, friendship, thank you....but receiving flowers or roses is a wonderful thing for anyone. Though you say you don't have much money, it's the thought that counts. So just receiving one or a few roses, instead of a full dozen, is still a very nice gesture.

What is the easiest way to live over in Thailand for a little while?
Is there a group or organization that might send people over for certain tasks? What about maybe a military branch? Which one would most likely be easiest to station over there? THANKS!

Your question doesn't make a lot of sense. You say military branch?? what military, what country. Very little military presents over here. Maybe getting a job with an embassy from your country, If you want to just move here you going to have to meet the visa requirements you just can't come here and stay.

Most people like you teach English in Thailand although in order to receive a "decent" pay you would need a certification such as TEFL. Read up on Thailand's visa requirements because if you plan on staying in Thailand you will have to know them.

well, I think you can probably get away with visiting for a little while, maybe even get a 3 month tourist visa - - work is a whole nother ball of wax - - If you want to do volunteer work, you might find an NGO that helps with Karen refugees - - if you are from USA, Peace Corps has a small presence here, but there is not that much for them to do - - life is pretty good here for most thai people - - ps - if you join the military somehwere, they usually tell you what to do - I don't think they are there to grant your requests..

Sure you can, but you need to either own a business, have a job, be retired , go to school, be married to a Thai, invest a large amount of money in Thailand and possibly a couple of other ways. There are also a lot of restrictions and requirements that go along with all of the above visa categories. If you are a retired fellow, you can easily have a retirement visa on a yearly basis. You must have proof that you have money in the bank that will support your stay, not less than Four Hundred Thousand Baht a year, every time you want to renew your yearly visa. If you want to marry a Thai women, you can stay if you can give proof that you have monthly income of not less than forty thousand baht a month, to support yourself and your Thai wife. So much depends on the amount of money you have and will have every month!

Just expanding on what Delauria said, the amount you need to annually deposit into your Thai bank account is now 800,000 baht (roughly $23,000USD).
