You will need to meet the financial requirement of either 800,000 THB in a Thai bank account or show proof of a pension of 65,000 THB per month, or a combination of the two. It is best to apply for a 90 day non-immigrant visa before you leave and extend it to one year at Thai Immigration. You will need to have the money in the Thai bank for two months before extending your initial 90 day visa into a one year extension of stay. Persons 50 years old and up are eligible for a Thailand Retirement Visa.

If you can locate the name, which most of the Thai people are listed, you can double click the name and there's a link to the 'White' page which will then give you the phone number. That is if he is listed in the phone book, but there is no mobile phone.

Have you been watching Lin Ping on 24 hours live cable TV in Thailand lately

Have you been watching Lin Ping on 24 hours live cable TV in Thailand lately?
I've just realised that Panda understands a few words when the caretaker talks to them. Once, a vet who was holding Lin Ping taking him back into the cage, he turned and told Lin Ping to wave to the people who were coming to see him, and the Bear turned and wave?!? Is it like a dog that sits when you tell it to sit?

I haven't watched the panda channel in a while but I'm sure many animals can learn a few words / tricks. Ever seen the elephant shows where they can paint, ride bicycles, play football, wave to the crowds, etc? Same concept.

I only came across some foreigners staring small business and getting settled in Thailand after they married to their Thai spouse. In your case, the safest way, is to contact a local internation law company and get it right up front to avoid later problems. If you ask other Thais, they might not have 100% info that you need and you end up getting confused. The way to go is to register as a small company and you are a share holder (normally a small company requires 7 share holders) or you could go partnership company too. But don't ask from someone who might give you the info from their guesses, a may-be is not enough and not worth big problems you have to deal with later. Good luck!

I live in Thailand...For vacations, next December... Australia or New Zeland?

New Zealand. Its the home of the happiest people in the world.
3 :
Well, I'd go with New Zealand.
4 :
Australia.
5 :
I wouldn't give yer troubles to a monkey on a rock! You've got one hekava problem except I'm from USA & would not be tempted to go to NZ but I'm not into GENERAL nature, no, I'm more into specific nature, like BEACHPARK, so, yeah, I'd say Australia.
6 :
Well both countries offer a lot in the way of #'s 1-5. Neither offers good food if you are coming from Thailand. The shopping is most definitely better in Australia, as are the sites of historical value. The problem with Australia is that it is very large. Dependng on how long you go, you could do Sydney and the Gold Coast or Melbourne and the Great Ocean road, but I don't think you could do bothof those trips. NZ, onthe other hand, you can practically broad jump from Aukland to Wellington. You could go skiing in the morning and surf in the afternoon. Since your preferences seem to be nature first and touristy stuff second, I am gonna suggest NZ because it is the earthier of the two places. If the touristy stuff (shopping, galleries, good eats) is closer to equal, then head for Australia.
7 :
The thing is, both of these places cater to what you have said you are interested in, very well. In Australia there are great natural places for birdwatching, shopping, families, food and shopping, and same with New Zealand. I guess you need to start thinking about what sort of nature you want to see. If you want sunny beaches, humid rainforests, dry deserts, coral reefs etc. Come to Australia. By the same token, if you want spectacular mountains, green pine forests, glaciers, thermal hot springs and volcanoes etc. Go to New Zealand. (Note: You can relax on the beach in New Zealand, but there isnt as many that are suitable, and the weather down south isnt really beach weather even in December) Both places have wonderful historic sites as well, and the main cities are also very pretty in their own rights. Again: If you want hot sunny harbour cruises, and spectacular architecture like the harbour bridge and opera house: Sydney is the place. If you want milder weather, with beautiful old style victorian architecture, green English style parks etc. Try Christchurch or Dunedin in New Zealand. Both Australia and New Zealand are VERY family friendly places to visit. They're full of things for the kids to do, and many places in the national parks are especially designed for families with children. Basically, Australia and New Zealand are both wonderful places to visit. I live in Australia, and personally would prefer visitors came here, BUT, having said that, I cant honestly say Australia is any better to NZ. It's different, but not better. Have a look at these sites to help you decide: www.newzealand.com/travel www.australia.com
8 :
If you are going to make the trip then see both countries. Auckland is a 3 hour flight from Sydney and fares are relatively cheap. Both countries have so much to offer that it would be worth it to take them both in. Maybe go to Sydney and Melbourne in Aus then head to Auckland - all on your list can be done in and around those 3 cities.

What direction is Thailand if you live in Canton Illinois

What direction is Thailand if you live in Canton Illinois?

Thailand - 6 Answers

1 :
Any direction you want. West if you're looking for the short route.
2 :
It is on the opposite end of the earth for you, almost.
3 :
The above answers are right, you are a little closer traveling east to west, Thailand is a little less than half way around the world in that direction. If you're looking to travel to Thailand, most of the Asian and American airlines will travel from east to west from the US to Thailand and Asia. You do have the option of going the other direction and travel through Europe or the Middle East, normally it's more expensive in that direction and a longer way to go.
4 :
Actually, the shortest distance would be slightly west of due north, crossing northern Canada, over the top to Siberia, Mongolia, Laos and down into Thailand. For example, the Thai Airways nonstop flight from New York to Bangkok usually travels due north and crosses the north pole, sine that is the shortest distance. Sometimes that route varies a bit to take advantage of winds.
5 :
It's that way -----------------------> Or maybe it's that way <----------------------------- Or it could be that way ^
6 :
hmmm, interesting question. I take it people in Canton never see a globe of the world before.
