I've just realised that Panda understands a few words when the caretaker talks to them. Once, a vet who was holding Lin Ping taking him back into the cage, he turned and told Lin Ping to wave to the people who were coming to see him, and the Bear turned and wave?!? Is it like a dog that sits when you tell it to sit?

I haven't watched the panda channel in a while but I'm sure many animals can learn a few words / tricks. Ever seen the elephant shows where they can paint, ride bicycles, play football, wave to the crowds, etc? Same concept.
