I see that you get a different exchange rate than the official one which is around 30. Anyone around here living in thailand?

Its roughly around 30-31 baht, but closer to 30 and its still going down. Wouldn't be suprised if it gets even lower by the end of the year.

The current rate of exchange is 31.45 Thailand no longer has a dual exchange rate for domestic and international exchange of Thai Baht. However, you will more likely get a better rate of Exchange in Thailand than abroad, but the difference will be 1/2 a baht as opposed to 2 baht under the dual rate policy. The exchange rate has changed VERY little since March 1

Today's Bangkok Post quotes the rate at $1.00= 31.45 THB, expect to get 31.2 THB or so at a bank or currency exchange when exchanging large bills ($50-$100 bills). The dollar has actually strengthened very slightly for the last couple of weeks.
