maybe your net acceess is blocking it or your pc firewall check the settings ,P2P file sharing work watch out for virus/trojans/spyware from that

if its not the firewall its your internet options settings you can change them from the control panel

May be your LAN provider restricts your p2p sharing I mean your administrator may made some regulations to your software not to connect to p2p servers like e-donkey or others .It should be a consequence of using firewall.
