Shipment from Thailand to the Netherlands

Shipment from Thailand to the Netherlands?
I live in Thailand for around 9 month and of course I have more to bring back to the Netherlands than I brought with me. My question is, what is the best and cheapest solution to send around 10 kilo to the Netherlands? It are only some clothes and personal things, nothing big or very valuable. I hope you can help me. Yes Thailand post is an option, but I don't understand the different rates they use. A big difference between the cheapest and most expensive option.

Try Thailand Post, you can calculate shipping costs from their website: http://www.thailandpost.com/search_ems_en.asp
2 :
If you don't need the items right away then ship them surface mail. It may take 1 to 2 months to reach you but it is the cheapest way to ship things. I shipped some clothing I didn't need right away from the USA here and it took almost 2 months to arrive.. Make sure you make the shipping form that it is used personal clothing so you don't have any problems with customs in the Netherlands.

What is the best way to find a lost friend in Thailand

What is the best way to find a lost friend in Thailand?
I lived in thailand about 7 years ago and I am looking for a very good Thai friend who may not be connected to the internet, what is the best way to do this? Hey Everyone, I have been getting great answers to this. I think I will start with the newspaper ad. I never thought of it, and that's a great idea! I am not actually in Thailand or I think I could find him. Thank you!

I think you could try an ad in the local paper or one of the English language papers like "The Bangkok Post"
2 :
It's pretty easy. Just advertise in a Thai language newspaper in the area where he/she was last staying and give your contact details. Unless the person has moved away from that last known address, you stand a good chance to meet him/ her again or at least, renew your contact. There is a Thai website- www.sanook.com as well and I was told they offer some such a service to trace people. But since your friend might not be connected to the Internet, you might find it of little use.
3 :
i agree the local newspaper would be the best way to find them, if you have a picture it would increase your changes. however i won't post it in the bangkok post i think your be wasting your time, try a local paper in the area where he lived. and if you know where the family is from there also, since your thai friend may move but usually the parents don't.
4 :
advertise on all newspapers. put his photo.. n wait for the call he will be calling u right away good luck :)
5 :
look for him maybe at the place where you two used to go
6 :
You can go back to your old place and ask around. The Thais do not uproot themselves much except for redevelopment or change of lease or work related. So someone in the old town/city/village is bound to be able to provide some help. Or advertise in the local papers as most Thais do read the papers all over the country.
7 :
I don't know to be honest.
8 :
I think this try may be help Write down the details, name, personality, where is the last place you met? Just sent mail to one of your thai friend? Or if you don't have, send to me, I will help Here, our internet community, we have a lot of forwarding mails to friends, Some about missing people, missing kids, or even blood donation. etc. Ever the person you are looking for, is not normal access the internet, but maybe his/her relatives use internet, So this way may be help. And it's no cost, and will be huge number of multiple internet users, Let try, if you really need to find him/her, I think even this way is not the best way, But just try. Good luck

It's true, and in American money that is only 78 cents!
2 :
actually its only 77.89 cents. the other person lied.
3 :
well, actually yeah, when then a little more,,,but isnt much difference.. i used to live in singapore and i was a few times in thailand...they are dying for tourist and a little money...but u have to do a good research for the best bungalow and the best price ;) have fun..
4 :
you can find a small studio in Bangkok for that amount, in other areas of the country you could rent a town house for that much, depends on where you staying.
5 :
yes depending on which part of Thailand or Bangkok you want to stay.
6 :
In the major cities, you can get a pretty good apartment for that price. In the outlying areas, you can get a house for that price. You just need to find one that suits you. Depending on where you are planning to stay, you can do some checks online first. Try www.thaiproperty.com/ or www.thailand-property-guide.com/ or www.thai-homes.com/ or www.propertythailand.com/
7 :
Yes it is true but please keep in mind that you can get what you have paid. Rent depends on the location and security as well as size and facilities.
