The ladies are more expensive now.. But, you should be able to find some that charge a lower price. You should not have a problem, unless you also spend a lot of money in the more expensive restaurants.

Not only are most things more expensive now, the pound is close to a five year low against the baht. Even so, I still think you could get by on your budget by staying in hostels and guesthouses, eating like the locals at food carts and stalls and taking buses and trains to other cities. You could make it, but barely, if you can increase your budget you'll be a lot more comfortable and most likely have a better time. Good luck.

If you don't mind no A/C, no hot showers, a few bugs sleeping with you. Eating Thai food from small stands, traveling on cowarded city buses. Yes you can make it. Things have gotten more expensive. I think you should wait until you have more money saved before you come here.

You can do it but don't bring anything valuable with you because you will probably have to take some really cheap places to sleep in in order to stretch your money out. How well you can stretch your money out depends on your spending habits and where you go. Since you have been to Thailand before you do have some familiarity with food and transportation. You should know a little bit on how to get more bang for your buck! Keep in mind that since a few years have gone by now you may not really want to do some of the same things you did when you were younger. You could "borrow" a little money on a credit card and have a more enjoyable time or have a shorter trip and stay in better places. Happy trails.

//I am a woman i am not going for the women!// So what does this really means? Are you going for the men!?! LoL. ** Where do you want to go? Just stay in Bangkok alone or somewhere else? If you want to stay for a long term, then go for some monthly apartments rather than hotels.

My suggestion would be to find one place to stay and cut the traveling around. On that low of a budget now due to the higher expense of Thailand, you would be in some pretty shady places that I would not deem safe for a woman. My suggestion is find one place like Koh Chang Island. See http://www.visualthailand.com for 2008 photos. Koh Chang has excellent beaches, lots of fresh water waterfalls to explore, jungles to hike, fishing pier and village, and many other things to do. It is very laid back and relaxed. The west side of the island is developed with hotels and restaurants, the whole east side of the island is un-developed for the most part and home to all the locals. You can even do some crude home stays with the locals if you like. There are many low cost places to stay because many backpackers stay there at times and plenty of local low cost food.
