To live pretty decently,do pretty much whatever you want to do ,around £2000 a month. If you want to stay in a bit ,eat at home or at a street shop-around £1500 .You can manage on alot less or spend alot more.Depends on what you really want to do .Hard to know on a question like this.

More info needed as I presume you will not be staying in one place and plan to travel all over Thailand. Depends on your style and budget. You need to do your research and do an Itinerary. Check out sawadee.com for info and has excelled transport links with timetables and prices of coaches , ferries and trains. also check out airasia.com for cheap Internal flights. check out agoada.com or hotelscombined.com for good rates and hotels. You should budget minimum 2000 baht a day - to do everything you want 5000 baht a day. You could get by on a 1000 baht a day but you won't be doing much so please make sure you have enough for your time in Paradise.

How long is a piece of string Whats decent to you is not decent to another Budgets can be for basic everyday things or you want to be living as a tourist As a ball park figure say about 90 000 bht I can get by on that stay in hotels and still struggle I could cut back on lots of things and stay in a apartment and walk everywhere If you stay in Krung Thep you will go through money a lot more than say Chiang Mai or up country

Food 30-35 Thai bath.drink 7 bath. / bottle. TaxI expensive. Almost drivers bad.bus,Sky train, airport Link ok. Room 4000-5000 bath/month.(average ).but I just found near suvarnabhum airport 1000 bath /month
