Hi Make sure you have the correct visa as you only get a 30 days visa on arrival Moneywise just budget the same as you would in your home city and some spending money and then you should be ok Better to have money left at the end of the trip than to run out half way Its not that cheap to be in Thailand as people make out You can do it of course but as a tourist you are not wantimg to be miserable and sat around doing nothing all day and you will be tempted to spend Maybe go for the 30 days and have a better time A month is a long time and you can do so much and you dont have to worry about visas that way

This so much depends on your style and itinerary. Do you plan to stay in one area or travel all over Thailand. Minimum you need 1500 baht a day but if you had 4000 baht a day you could do everything you want to do. Check out sawadee.com for what to see and do - gives information on transport, timetables. Check out agoda.com and hotelscombined.com for hotel accomadation that is cheaper than hostel or guesthouse. also check out hostelworld and hostelbookers. for cheap internal flights in Thailand check out airasia.com. Please add addional information on your itenary then people on this site will give you the information require.

If you make an effort to live cheaply, for example eat from markets/street vendors, basic Thai restaurants, etc and stay in average accommodation, 500-1,000 Baht per day should cover you. If you will be staying in the same accommodation for a prolonged period (for example more than two weeks) then you may be able to make a deal with the hotel/guest house and receive a discount. If you are confident riding a motor cycle, then this is a efficient way to travel around town, as its cheap and effective. You might want to check out Agonda.com for a wide range of hotels across Thailand and Asia at discounted rates. For a good time, try to budget 2-3,000 Baht a day, although things can be made very cheaply in Thailand if necessary.
