What to do to live in Thailand permanently

What to do to live in Thailand permanently?
I'm a US citizen and I'm planning to live in Thailand after school is done. What do I need to do in order to live there permanently? My parents/family is Thai born. But I was born in the US. Thanks! My mom is Thai, but I don't know anything about my father since he left before I was even born. Can I still apply to be a Thai citizen? If I can, how (provide websites, advice, offices etc.)

If your father and your mother are both Thai citizen, you are entitled , if you want, to be a Thai citizen too. You can come to Thailand and have a dual citizenship, both American and Thai, without losing your rights and privileges of an American citizen. Even if your parents are American Citizen now, if you still have their original Thai birth certificate, you can still apply for a Thai citizen too. as many I know had done. That is the best and easiest way for you to live in Thailand permanently - and still have the rights to come back and forth to the USA, anytime you want! For further information try to type "How to get dual citizenship in Thailand" and you will find a lot of details and information!

When you get to Bangkok just head for the immigration office. They can help you out.
