How do i act with my Thai girlfriend in public?

No weird laws only weird questions. If your in Bangkok your have no problems, if your in a rural area people may look funny at you but they will not say anything.

Showing physical affection in public such as kissing and hugging is considered indecent in Thailand. But it's not against the law, unless you start exposing yourself and having sex in a public place.

Don't say anything bad about the King. You can go to jail. Also they play the National Anthem at 8am and 6pm. You'll know because they play a kind of clock ticking just before and you'll see the Thais getting up. (they can go to jail if they don't). You don't have to stand for it but out of respect for Thailand its a good idea if your in public to participate. My wife sometime walks behind me a few steps and I find that kind of annoying but I think its a custom too. Either that or she's checking out guys and doesn't want me to know.

Do NOT, EVER, say anything bad about the King, that is considered a fairly serious offense and you can go to jail for it. And they are VERY serious about their anti-drug laws. Possession of drugs is punishable by death here, and they do use it on occasion. As far as behavior with your girlfriend, that kind of depends on where you are I think. If you are in Bangkok, you can act as you would in the west. In the more rural areas though, public displays of affection I think are kind of frowned down upon, though no one will give you a hard time about it.

You can hold hands but showing public affection like kissing is not polite.Don't talk bad about the king or try to get a girl to ever touch a monk that is a crime.
